Portavogie Rangers 2-3 Dundonald FC

Portavogie Rangers continued their pre-season preparations with a competitive five-goal encounter against Dundonald FC, with the visitors finding a late winner to secure a narrow 3–2 victory.

Dundonald opened the scoring, but Portavogie Rangers responded well and were back on level terms around 15 minutes later. Jay Cully found the net to make it 1–1 and reward a positive reaction from the team.

The match remained closely contested as the first half progressed, but Dundonald restored their advantage shortly before the interval, giving the visitors a 2–1 lead at half-time.

Portavogie Rangers continued to push after the break and showed good character as they searched for another equaliser. Their persistence paid off in the latter stages of the match when Alex McMaster scored to bring the teams level at 2–2.

With the game appearing to be heading towards a draw, Dundonald struck again in the closing minutes to claim the victory.

Despite the result, the match provided us with another useful pre-season workout. The players showed resilience to come from behind twice, while the fixture offered a valuable opportunity to build fitness, develop partnerships and gain further match sharpness ahead of the new season.
